In the vicinity of the hotel Baltvilla there are several notable tourist attractions and opportunities for spending interesting pastime. One of the oldest and largest open-air museums in Europe is situated only 8 km away from Baltvilla, the beach of the Baltic Sea is only a 20-minute drive from the hotel, whereas Sigulda, one of the most beautiful towns in Latvia, is located at a distance of approximately 40 km.

The museum is one of the oldest open-air museums in Europe. The Ethnographic Open-air Museum shows the cultural heritage, work and household traditions of the population of Latvia. Priedes tavern. In Priedes tavern, just like in 1841, bread is baked and roast prepared in wood-fired oven, here you can also enjoy a proper rural soup. Dishes cocked in Priedes tavern and Latvian home made beer taste just as good as hundred years ago. Traditional bread baking on Saturdays (during summertime)

Tree nursery was established already on 1972. Its activities are based on cultivating and selling of trees and shrubs for exhibition. Also excursions are offered for visitors. Currently more than 500 names of plants are included in the range of tree nursery but every year its assortment is supplemented with new plants, suitable for the climatic zone of Latvia.

Saulkrasti beach. The beach is 17 km long and is very interesting in its diversity: from the singing sand in Lilaste to the stony seaside in Zvejniekciems.
White dune. One of the most beautiful dunes of its kind in Latvia with great sight to the coast of Baltic Sea. From the top of the White dune you can enjoy sight of the outfall of Inčupe River – the place where river falls into the Baltic Sea. From the White dune along the coast of the sea stretches 3.6 km long walking trail Sunset trail. Fresh air of pine-tree wood and marvelous sights of seaside is worth to be experienced!
Saulkrasti Bicycle museum. The collection reflects the manufacturing history of Latvian bicycles. Alongside the unique exhibits, it is also possible to see the old workshop and bicycle shop. It is the only bicycle museum in Latvia.

Sigulda is called the Switzerland of Vidzeme. It is one of the most beautiful towns in Latvia. It is located in a place abundantly endowed with the beauty of nature and culturally historical objects. Medieval Castles and picturesque landscapes are seen from the descents of Gauja Ancient Valley. Gutmans Cave resembles an original visitor’s book where names of the visitors of Sigulda are left. Air funicular tram is the only one in the Baltic’s. It unites banks of Gauja between Sigulda and Krimulda opening fantastic view on the ancient valley of the river! During summer season extreme entertainment is offered – bungee jumping from the funicular.
