Salt therapy is especially suitable for asthma patients – salt facilitate expectoration. Salt destroys bacteria and fungi on mucous membranes and strengthens the immune system. That’s why children who underwent salt therapy are considerably stronger and fall ill less often. Salt also reduces the diseases related to respiratory mucous membrane: sneezing ceases, nose gets unobstructed, symptoms of runny nose stop or decrease. Salt therapy is recommended for asthma prevention and for people who often suffer from respiratory diseases – runny nose, cough, tonsillitis or otitis. As salt aerosol contains negative ions, they have a favourable effect on the nervous system – they relieve stress, prevent insomnia and help to treat skin diseases.
Salt room is a room where salt ions are distributed from a special device; they are breathed in by people, and they cleanse, moisturise and soothe mucous membrane of the airways, stabilize the nervous system and improve metabolism.
Course of the procedure
During the session patients sit in armchairs and calmly breathe in ionised salt air; it is recommended to breathe this air in through nose and breathe it out through mouth. Recommended therapy course is 10 sessions, attending the salt room every day or every other day.

! Salt room is not recommended in case of elevated body temperature, fever, exacerbation of viral infection, oncological and renal diseases, and severe cases of hypertension.
