It is especially important to fortify muscles of the legs and feet until the school age, that would be important for the prevention of the flatfoot. Also muscles of the both sides of the body should be active to develop correct and symmetric posture of the child. At this age, it is important to arise interest in the child, therefore, therapeutic exercising are more like playing with movements allowing making the child joyful and happy and obtaining good result.

During the primary school period ossification of the skeleton continues, but spine of the child is very flexible and can get deformed easily. Also power of muscles is increasing, but muscles of the spine are too weak to keep the body in the right position, therefore incorrect posture can develop during this period. To avoid it, it is recommended to promote development of bones and muscles with appropriate exercises.

It is important for the child to develop flexibility, coordination, persistence, power. Also apply exercises for strengthening of the corset of the spine without omitting also breathing exercises.

Power Group – for correct posture

Nowadays schoolchildren usually has a sedentary life due to large amount of work at school and as most of their free time, they spend by TV, computer or phone screen. Also heavy school bags add an extra load to the spine of a child.

Posture asymmetry developed during childhood leaves permanent consequences for the rest of the life.

In “Power Group” classes in the Health Centre “Baltezers” under the supervision of a physiotherapist children get the chance to move, explore and expand the limits of their physical abilities and also they gain confidence with the help of movements.

Classes are planned as an option to continue classes both for children and teenager after the outpatient rehabilitation course and for every other child who is interested and fits into the respective age group.

Various tools are used during classes to perform training of deep muscles in attractive ways, as deep muscles are directly related to symmetry of posture, and develop power, balance, and coordination and communication skills.

Exercise group for general development of children from 7 to 11 years and teenanger  from 12 -15 years under the guidance of certified physiotherapist.

Classes take place twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 18:00.
